The John and Mable Ringling
Museum of Art in its affiliation with Florida State University is the
largest museum/university complex in the nation. Recognized as the Art

The Players, Sarasota's oldest
performing arts company, produces a Musical Theater Series, a full
season of large scale musical productions, a Special Event Series
providing alternative theater and children's programming and a Concert
Series which presents nationally known musicians throughout the year.
The Players Performing Arts School offers year round classes and workshops
for children, teens and adults in musical theater, acting, voice, and
dance (ballet, modern, tap, jazz and hip hop).

The Sarasota Opera House plays
host to everything from opera, symphony and classical ballet to film
festivals, popular music concerts, comedy shows and clowns. The
Opera Complex features a new Pavilion with a spacious, multi-purpose
banquet/performance facility; the Peterson Great Room, which can seat up
to 390 people. Private meeting space, as well as private rehearsal
rooms are part of the pavilion. The Opera House theater seats 1033,
with 740 on the first floor and 293 in the balcony.
