Key Largo

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

Although Pennekamp is famous for its offshore reef, it's a very diverse park. Amenities include a visitor's center, picnic area, campsites, beaches, bathrooms, showers and a concessionaire with boats, canoes, hobie cats, windsurfers and tour and snorkel boats.

Anne's Beach, Matecumbe Public Beach

Pigeon Key Island

A National Historic Site, the area has island tours, picnic areas, restrooms, plenty of trees, and snorkeling available. You must provide your own snorkel equipment. Open daily 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is $7.50 per adult, pre-school children admitted free.

Sombrero Beach

Lower Keys
Little Duck Key Beach

Bahia Honda Park

National Key Deer and Great White Heron Wildlife Refuge

Seeing is believing this diminutive species of deer known as the Key Deer. Just 2 ½ feet tall and weighing less than 75 pounds, they are most often sighted in the early morning or late afternoon.

Key West

Fort Zachary Taylor State Historic Site
Enter through the Truman Annex on Southard Street. Known as the best beach in Key West.

Smathers Beach
Just west of the airport on S. Roosevelt Blvd. This is one of Key West's longest beaches. Picnic area, restroom facilities, volleyball net and watersports available.

South Beach
A small public beach at the south end of Duval Street. Food, drinks and bathroom facilities available

Clarence S. Higgs Memorial Beach
One half mile west of Smathers Beach on Atlantic Blvd. near the south end of White Street. Swimming, pier, recreational facilities for children and free tennis courts across the street.

Dry Tortugas National Park
About 70 miles west of Key West, accessible by scheduled ferry service or chartered seaplane. Activities include diving, snorkeling, bird watching and exploration of Fort Jefferson national monument
